Stoycho Marchev takes a prominent place among the wealthy people of Haskovo in the past, honored by their fellow citizens according to their deeds. Together with his wife, they became donors of the city and contributed to the development of Haskovo. Instead of today’s Regional Library and Historical Museum, Stoycho Marchev’s warehouse was once in place for industrial and colonial goods. Near the warehouse was his inn, which was overflowing during the city fair. Stoicho Marchev assists almost to all charity endeavors in the city.
