National Community Center Probuda is located in neighborhood Bolyarovo and concentrates many activities between its walls. The building itself has a cinema, a library, a lecture hall, a kindergarten, a post office and a health service. The Community Center was founded in 1928 and since then has been working for the preservation of local folklore. Characteristic of the neighborhood is the special celebration of the holidays – Babin day, Baba Marta, St. Charalambos Day, Varvara, Christmas Eve and others. The Amateur Ensemble participates every year at the National Folk Art Festival Lovely Thrace sings and dances – Haskovo, at the international festival in the village of Dorkovo, at the country’s big festivals, at festivals abroad, and vaunts with many awards. The Community Center aims to help the citizens of the neighborhood in their day-to-day activities and since lately organizes trips in the country and abroad.
